A Brief History of Black Muslims in Canada

, ,

As part of Islamic History Month, the Muslim Association of Canada presents the untold story of Black Muslims in Canada on Tuesday, Oct 13th at 8pm EDT.

In a time where anti-black racism issues have crossed borders, we must also be attuned to our own Black Muslim history in Canada. Tune in with our exceptional speakers Hassam Munir, Imam Yasin Dwyer, Nimao Ali, and Saada Hussen as they discuss the stories of early black Muslims and their important contributions to Canadian society. They will also explore lessons we can take moving forward in building vibrant and resilient communities.
