URGENT UPDATE: Suspension of Congregational Prayers at MAC Centres and Mosques

MISSISSAUGA, MARCH 16 2020 | 17:30

Based on the most recent announcements and several press conferences held today by public health officials, the Muslim Association of Canada has decided to suspend congregational prayers across all centres and mosques nationwide and will not hold the weekly Friday prayer service. The mosque doors will remain open only for individual essential services while strictly adhering to the public health guidelines and directives.

We encourage our community members to follow the guidelines of public health officials and the scholarly opinions to stay at home to decrease community transmission. Anyone planning to visit MAC mosques is strongly advised to use the pre-screening assessment tools available on public health websites. Below are the links to the recent announcements and assessment tools.
