Olive Grove School & Al-Furqan School Students honour Indigenous Children

On the last Monday of September, several MAC schools across the nation observed #OrangeShirtDay. Students and staff remembered and learned about the painful legacy of the residential school system. We honour the Indigenous children who were sent away from their families to residential schools and how this has impacted them for more than a century.  We also recognize this learning and working towards reconciliation is more than a one-day remembrance. We are committed to reconciliation and learning about the beautiful traditions and ways of life of the Indigenous people of this land.
